Linda Sue Dowler

ATHENS – Linda Sue Dowler, 75, of Athens, died Friday morning, March 5, 2021 at Doctor’s Hospital West in Columbus.

Born August 11, 1945 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Luther and  Esther Eileen Savage Kirkendall.

She was a graduate of Alexander High School and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by two sons, Todd (Edlynn ) Dowler, Scott (Cathy Jackson) Dowler; four grandchildren, Nathan Dowler, Aaron Sedwick, Nick Dowler, Tiffanie Dowler; three great grandchildren, Cora Dowler, Callie Dowler, Wyatt Rosser-Dowler; five siblings, Roy Kirkendall, Joy (Bob) Dowler, Fred Kirkendall, Jim (Valerie) Kirkendall, Tony Brooks; and her dog Sophie.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Dowler; three siblings, Donna Gilkey, Tom and Raiford Kirkendall.

Services will be 1PM Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home for expenses.
