Lillian M. Wiley
Lillian Marcella Wiley (Reed), 99 passed away peacefully on July 4, 2021 and entered her eternal home with Jesus, her savior, after a few months of declining health surrounded by her loving family at Danbury Senior Living in Huber Heights, Ohio.
Born on November 4, 1921, in Athens County, Ohio, she was raised in Coolville, Ohio and graduated from Carthage Troy High School. She attended Ohio University majoring in music. She married the love of her life, Paul E. Wiley, on November 11, 1942. They resided and raised their family in Belpre, Ohio before moving to Indiana in 1990.
Lillian was a fulltime homemaker taking care of her family and grandchildren as well as serving her God and church family at Liberty Street Church of God. She also worked as a substitute teacher in the Belpre City Schools. Her laughter and welcoming manner will be missed deeply by her family and all those that knew her.
Lillian was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Paul E. Wiley; her parents, Dale and Florence Reed; a niece, Connie Stalnaker; nephew, Danny Reed; two sisters, Lucille (William) Wines and Marjorie Reed.
She is survived by three children, Jack (Marian) Wiley and Jerry Wiley both of Anderson, IN, and a daughter, Marcella (Al) Simon of Fairborn, OH. She leaves five grandchildren, Christopher (Treva Bailey) Wiley, Brett (Jenny) Wiley, Shawn (Nora) Wiley, Jillian Simon Marshall and Margo J. Simon; 2 great-grandchildren, Kathryn and George Marshall and a niece, Bonnie (Ronnie) Nickoson of Coolville.
A viewing will be held at noon on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at the White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, Ohio, with a graveside service to follow at 1 P.M. at the Coolville Cemetery. Pastor Joel Frymeyer, pastor of Liberty Street Church (Parkersburg, WV) will be officiating.
