Lawrence M. Metcalf, 77 of Guysville, OH, passed away Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018 at Marietta Memorial Hospital Belpre Campus
He was born June 24, 1941 in Guysville, OH, son of Wanda Bean Metcalf and the late Forrest Glenn Metcalf. He retired from the Ohio Operating Engineers Local 18 in Columbus, where he worked for Lake Erie Construction.
Lawrence is survived by his mother, Wanda Metcalf; his wife of 56 years, Cheryl Butcher Metcalf; a son Ernest Douglas Metcalf; a daughter, Brenda and Ernest Stone; 2 brothers, Harold Metcalf and Brent Metcalf; a sister, Donna Buck; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his father, Forrest Metcalf, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Metcalf and a brother, Virgil Metcalf.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, OH, with Pastor Monte McCune officiating. Burial will follow in the Asbury Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, from 6-8 P.M.
