Larry Gordon Collins, 82, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025, in Long Bottom, Ohio, after a lengthy illness.

Born on June 18, 1942, in Reedsville, Ohio, Larry was the beloved son of Gordon H. Collins and Cecelia E. Kinnen Collins. He was preceded in death by both parents as well as a brother and sister in law, George and Nancy Collins.

Prior to illness, he retired from DuPont Washington Works and enjoyed farming and growing beautiful gardens to share with family. Throughout his life, Larry was a cherished father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his children, Brian (Jayne) Collins of Long Bottom and Angela Collins Bissell of Marietta; his sister, Shirley Edwards of Reedsville; his brother, Charles (Ann) Collins of Reedsville; and several nieces and nephews. Larry’s legacy lives on through his grandchildren, Dakota (Niki) Collins, Christopher (Baylie) Bissell, Baylee Collins (Frankie), and Elayna Bissell, as well as his great-grandchildren, Ally, Zoey, Holden, and Aven.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Larry’s dedicated caregivers—Grace, Stacy, Sarah, Lisa, Kenda, Haley—and the compassionate team at Amedisys Hospice for the exceptional care and kindness shown to him.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date at the discretion of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to White Funeral Home in Coolville, OH.
