Kevin Dragoo

The Plains -  Kevin Dragoo, 69, of The Plains, died unexpectedly Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Marietta Memorial Hospital in Athens.

Born September 14, 1955, in Springfield, Ohio, he was the son of the late Nelson and Virginia Brannick Dragoo.  Kevin was a 1973 graduate of Springfield South High School and an avid sports fan.  He was a die hard Ohio State football fan, cheered for the Cincinnati Reds and on a good day a Bengals fan.  He worked at Big Bear in The Plains for many years and retired from Ohio University where he worked in food service.  Kevin loved his fur babies, Jake, Scooter, Midnight, Cali and Sunshine.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Tina McCune Dragoo; four siblings, Stephen (Jennie) Dragoo, Mike Dragoo, Susan Lowe and Julie Dragoo; one brother-in-law, Rick McCune; a very special mother-in-law, Carolyn McCune; a good friend, Jeremy Moore and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Mount.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home in Athens with Pastor Rick Seiter officiating.  Burial will be at Hilltop Cemetery in Millfield.  Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Hughes Funeral Home.  Friends are invited to sign the online guestbook at ehwfh.com.
