FORMER OWNER OF KEN’S ALIGNMENT PASSES AWAY

Russell Kenneth Null “Kenny” age 80 of Belpre, Ohio passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on Friday, January 6, 2017.

Kenny grew up in Coolville, Ohio where he was one of sixteen children born to Luther and Virginia Null. He graduated from Carthage Troy High School at the age of 16. After high school, he joined the National Guard. He also worked at Nichol’s Bread Company driving a truck, Ideal Box Company, and Penn Metal.

After leaving Penn Metal, Kenny opened up his own business – Ken’s Alignment Shop in Belpre, Ohio. He ran this business successfully for over 30 years. Everyone knew him as the best wheel alignment guy in town. He was an honest mechanic and helped repair many people’s vehicles during his time in business.

Kenny was also an active member of Bartlett Lodge 293 where he served as Past Master in 1981 – 1982. He was heavily involved with the Shriners and promoted a positive image of them by his participation in local parades. He drove the little cars and was also a part of the motor cycle motorcade. He also participated in many fund raisers and charity events to help raise money for Shriner’s Hospital for Children – an organization that helps children with crippling diseases and birth defects get the surgery and therapy they need in order to walk again.

Kenny was a loving father of 5 children, 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. All of whom are living out his legacy he left for them to follow.

Kenny loved fixing things and making is rounds around town. After he sold his business and retired, he enjoyed mowing grass and bush hogging fields. He loved being busy and working hard. Even when his health got bad, he never lost his “get-up-and-go” spirit. He finished his work on earth and then simply fell asleep and woke up in Heaven.

Kenny was preceded in death by his mother and father, Luther and Virginia (Webb) Null, son, Kevin Null, sister Linda Deeter and her husband Jack Deeter; brothers; Robert Null (Velma), Bill Null and also his wife Sharon Null; Paul Null and Randy Null ; step sister Pauline Britton; special nephew Joe Null; and his little dog Jake.
