Joyce Manuel

Racine - Joyce Manuel, 86, of Racine, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Overbrook Rehab Center in Middleport, Ohio.
Born May 2, 1936 in Racine, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Fannie Sayre Hart. Joyce retired from Veterans Memorial Hospital where she was a Medical Transcriptionist. She had a love for gardening and was very good at raising plants and flowers. She exhibited many flowers in the Meigs and Mason County Fairs where she won numerous awards. She also had a love for cats. She loved her Elliott and Pretty Boy like her children.
Joyce is survived by one daughter, Donita Sayre: one son, Wyatt (Cheryl) South; six grandchildren, Breeanna (Jake) Warner, Deeanna (Curtis) Cheuvront, Destiny (Trey) Sanders, Adriana Sayre, Damein Earl, and Andre’ (Cheyenne) South; eight great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and a special friend Pastor Fred Williams.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Rhoda Yavone Earl and Robin Dawn Manuel; five brothers, Ronald, Linley “Babe”, Eldred, Gilbert and Robert Hart; two sisters, Lorene Pyles and Patsy Willis.
She was a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother. She will truly be forever loved and missed.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M., on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at the Letart Falls Cemetery in Letart Falls with Pastor Fred Williams officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 15, from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at the Ewing-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Pomeroy, Ohio. Friends are encouraged to sign the online guestbook at ewingfuneralhome.net.
