REEDSVILLE—Lehia Joyce Cowdery, 76, of Reedsville, OH, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2023, at Arcadia Nursing Center.
She was born April 3, 1947, in Frost, OH, daughter of the late Roy and Margaret Simmons Welch. Joyce attended Eden United Brethren Church and was a former employee of the Tuppers Plains Dairyette. She loved cooking and working on the farms in Reedsville.
She is survived by her husband, Lee Cowdery; daughter, Cathy and Charlie Adams; 2 sons, Kevin and Marsha Cowdery and Randy Cowdery; grandchildren, Dustin Cowdery, John Cowdery, Cody Cowdery, Micah Cowdery, Jason Adams and Jessica Adams; 2 sisters, Barbara Welch and Janie Arnold and a brother, Donnie Welch.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Smith and 4 brothers, Ronnie Welch, Larry Welch, Butch Welch and Jonnie Welch.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023, at Eden United Brethren Church with Gary Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Eden Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
