Joseph William Masters, 74, of Saint Cloud, FL went home to be with his heavenly Father at his home on Tuesday, April 7, 2009.
He was born January 30, 1935 in Rowlesburg, WV son of the late Clifford and Minnie Taylor Masters.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara Gross Masters; 4 children, Lisa Larry Delgarn of Hilliard, OH, Ron Cathy Masters of Mechanicsburg, OH, Lori Bart Bodey of Urbana, OH and Jeff Masters of Mechanicsburg, OH; Grandchildren, Chrissy Grossnickle, Dustin Grossnickle, Aaron Delgarn, Holli Gary Eaton, Teona Carl Herron, Jeremy Custer, Amanda Custer, Joseph Masters, James Masters and Jacob Masters; great-grandchildren, Skyler, Jada, Bryant and Logan; a sister, Thelma Kaylor of Coolville, OH a brother, Wilsey Ruth Masters of Coolville, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Austin Samuel, Charles Ray, Donald Lee, Herbert Jr., Paul Daniel, Dallas Miles and Harold Franklin; sisters, Laura, Emma, Ruth and Sue Ann.
Joe was a member of Saint Cloud Nazarene Church and President of the Saint Cloud Shuffleboard Club. He was a loving husband and father as well as a wonderful friend to many. He was known as "Bubblegum Joe" by the children. He loved the Lord and took every opportunity that he had to share Him with everyone that he met. He enjoyed fishing, shuffleboard and spending time with his family and friends. He even spent time in race car driving as well as flying an airplane. He enjoyed life to the fullest and will be greatly missed.
Services will be held 1 P.M., Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the Reedsville Fellowship Church of the Nazarene, Reedsville, OH with Pastors Herbert Grate and Teresa Waldeck officiating. Burial will be in the Reedsville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church from 11 A.M. until time of services on Wednesday.
