Joe Lantz
Joe E. Lantz, 73, of Reedsville, OH went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Jan. 5, 2009 at Marietta Nursing and Rehab Center after a brief illness.
He was born Jan. 24, 1935 in Ivydale, WV son of the late Frank and Ora McKown Lance. He was a member of the Reedsville Fellowship Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by a daughter, Donna Reed; 2 sons, Charles and Mary Lantz and Danny and Paula Lantz; a brother, Mike and Dot Lance; 4 sisters, Judy Elkins, Ruth Ann Lance, Barbara and Tom Summerfield and Cindy and Fred Houghten; a sister-in-law, Bertie Lance; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Lantz; a sister, Janelle; and 2 brothers, Jack and Roger.
Services will be held 11 A.M., Friday, Jan. 9, 2009 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH with Pastors Teresa Waldeck, Wayne Vogelsong and Russ Carson officiating. Burial will be in the Stewart Cemetery, Hockingport, OH.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, from 6-8 P.M.
