Jimmie Lee Putman, Sr.
COOLVILLE—Jimmie Lee Putman, Sr., 82, of Coolville, OH, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022, at University Hospital in Cleveland, OH.
He was born Dec. 17, 1939, in Long Run, WV, son of the late Woodrow Wilson and Mary Clem Putman. Jim retired from Ohio Operating Engineers Local 18 after 50+ years of service. He was a charter member of the Reedsville Fellowship Church of the Nazarene, where he served as the Greeter and was very active in the Golden Harvest Food Pantry. He loved his family and his time spent in Florida with family.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruth Ann Griffith Putman; 4 sons, Jimmie Jr (Robin) Putman., David (Kim) Putman, Glen (Mikki) Putman and Mike Putman; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Debbie Putman; 3 brothers, Don (Marlene) Putman, Junior (Fran) Putman and Dale (Becky) Putman; sister, Connie Saylor; brother-in-law, John Henderson and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary Putman; 2 grandsons, Jason Putman and Brandon LaBonte; 2 brothers, Burl Putman and Jackie Eugene Putman and 3 sisters, Thelma Lantz, Dorothy Lance and Edith Henderson and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M., Friday, March 11, 2022, at the Reedsville Fellowship Church of the Nazarene, with Pastors Russ Carson and Todd Barlow officiating. Burial will follow in the Stewart Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, from 4-8 P.M. at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, OH.
