Jared Michael Ryder, 48 of New Marshfield, passed away early Wednesday morning, March 1, 2023 at his home surrounded by family while under hospice care. Born July 21, 1974 in Athens, he was the son of James Michael "Jim" and Carla Rae Allbaugh Ryder.
He was a 1992 graduate of Alexander High School then went to serve in the United States Air Force. Jared was an avid outdoorsman, often spending many hours riding motorcycles and fourwheelers. He was an excellent craftsman and created countless small knick-knack style projects from scratch which will always be held as priceless heirlooms to his surviving family. Jared spent his life as a thrill seeker though there was no better feeling he had than the love for his family--especially having the ability to spend his final days with them. He will always be loved and missed by all.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his daughters, Jessica Ryder and Josephine "Joey" Ryder; sister, Cara (fiance Matt Rector) Ryder; niece, Allyson Rector; three step-daughters, Alliandra, Savannah, Ember Wicker; two step-grandchildren; and special best friend, J.R. McKee.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Angela Wicker Ryder, September 24, 2022, infant brother, Jamie Ryder; maternal grandmother & grandfather; and paternal grandmother.
A celebration of life will be 6PM - 8PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home on Friday, March 10, 2023. Friends and family are encouraged to sign the online guestbook or leave the family a message of sympathy at www.hughesmoquinfuneralhome.com.
