James R. Thomas

James R. Thomas, age 83, passed away on February 16, 2025, in Jackson, Ohio.

He was born May 7, 1941, in Point Pleasant, WV, to Paul and Garnet (Babcock) Thomas. Jim lived and worked at Arizona's Boys Ranch in Queen Creek, Arizona most of his adult life, before moving back to Chester, Ohio with his parents to retire.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his son James Schaekel of Atlanta, GA and daughter Jodie Schaekel of Long Bottom, Ohio, an aunt June (Bud) Coleman of Fostoria, Ohio, several cousins and special friends Homer and Mary Cole of Chester, Ohio.

At Jim's request, there will be no services. Arrangements have been entrusted to White Funeral Home in Coolville, Ohio.
