James Saltz

McArthur - James Mason Saltz, 54, of McArthur, died Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio 

Born April 5, 1970, in Chillicothe, Ohio, he was the son of the late Clifford and Sharon Van Cooney Saltz.  He was a graduate of Vinton County High School and worked for many years at All Power Equipment in Athens and Lancaster, Ohio.  In his spare time he loved all aspects of farming and was a member of the Athens Tractor Club.

He is survived by one uncle, Timothy Saltz; four aunts, Rosemary Rueda, Anna Belle Saltz, Sara Gregory and Jeanie Keiser; cousins, Marilyn Manderick, Lisa Carr, Teresa Van Cooney, Thomas Saltz, Kristin Gregory, Mark Gregory and Justin Keiser and special friends, Dan and Andrea Carter Smith.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one aunt, Clara Jane Hartley and one uncle, Thomas Franklin Saltz.
