James W. Frost

ATHENS—James W. Frost, 83, of Athens, Ohio, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Highland Oaks Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in McConnelsville, Ohio.  He was born February 14, 1940, in Athens, Ohio.  He graduated from Albany High School Class of 1958.  For many years he worked in the Parts and Service Department at several automobile dealerships in Athens.  He was an active member of the Albany Community Center Seniors.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia (Woodburn) Frost; daughter, Jennifer (Dan) O’Leary; son, Jeffrey (Heather) Frost; three grandchildren: Megan O’Leary, Chace Frost and Caden Frost; brother, John (Joan) Frost; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Martha (Ed) Bickel; sister-in-law, Pam Bainey Woodburn; 8 nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Delmar and Esther Halbirt Frost; his sister, Carol Wickham; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Mildred Woodburn; brothers-in-law, David Wickham, Kenny Woodburn and Harold Woodburn.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Dolly Adams Newsome for her support through this, to his many friends at the Albany Community Center Seniors, to Jim’s caregiver, Kathy from Dina’s Compassion Care for her weekly visits, the Highland Oaks Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility and Buckeye Hospice and Palliative Care Services.

Jim’s wishes were to be cremated with no funeral services.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
