James E. Ford
James E. Ford, 78, of Coolville, OH passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg, WV.
He was born Nov. 24, 1935 in Parkersburg, WV son of the late Edwin and Helen Swan Ford. He attended Little Hocking Church of Christ and was a lifelong farmer and avid wood worker. James retired from G.E. with 29 1/2 years of service as a Maintenance Mechanic and was a member of Troy Township Senior Citizens, Federal Hocking FFA Alumni and earned his pilots license in 1984.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Walker Ford; a daughter, Debbie Ford of Coolville; 4 sons, Richard Ford of Millfield, Jim and Connie Ford of Coolville, Greg and Barb Ford of Rutland and Donnie Ford of Stewart; a brother, Harold and Janet Ford; 2 sisters, Mary and John Coen and Mildred Leeson; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan and 2 brothers.
Services will be held at 1 P.M., Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH with David Newberry and Ernie Cornell officiating. Burial will be in the Torch Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
