Reverend Helen E. Kline
Reverend Helen Eileen Kline of Lancaster Ohio passed away Saturday February 29 at Pickering House Lancaster,Ohio with her family by her side
Helen graduated from Lancaster High School in 1950. After Graduation she worked for Anchor Hocking for several years before getting an Education Degree from the Ohio University. She then taught in the Lancaster, Logan and Southwest City districts for several years. One on one tutoring was her calling while in the Education field and she went on to do that for the Children's Mental Health Center in Columbus and independently. After leaving the education field she spent a few years as an agent for Fox Realty in Logan, Ohio.
Helen found her second calling in her career as a Methodist Pastor. She received her Masters of Divinity from the Methodist Theological School in Delaware Ohio. While in School she served various Churches. After Graduation she served the Methodist Churches in the New Marshfield, Ohio charge for a few years. This was followed by a decade of service at the Methodist Church charge in Coolville, Ohio with churches in Coolville and Hockingport and then she finished her career with eleven years of service at the Barlow charge with churches in Barlow, Bartlett and Palmer
Helen was a woman with many interests. In her youth she became a licensed pilot. Helen also loved to play cards with Bridge as her favorite game. She also played Piano and Accordion.
Helen was born June 1, 1932 in the family home on E. Walnut St. in Lancaster Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Ethel (Keck) Kline, sisters Leota Thomas and Karen “Ginger” Larabee, brothers Charles and David Kline
She is survived by son Mike Kline, daughter-in-law Jeannie Kline. She loved her grandchildren Christina Smith, Amanda (Ryan) Breon and Derek (Brittani) Kline. In the last few years she has really enjoyed being a great grandmother to Dmitri Smith and Liam Kline. She had a special place in her heart for her home nurse Suzanne Pope. Her dog Oakley was always at her side waiting to do a trick for a treat.

As she had close friends scattered all over the place we will be having two Celebration of Life services. One in Lancaster and another in Coolville
