Harry Gibbs
Harry Ashley Gibbs, 97, of Coolville, OH, died Monday, May 7, 2007 at Arcadia Nursing Center, Coolville, OH.
He was born Feb. 20, 1910 in Coolville, OH, son of the late Charles F. and Helen Maxson Gibbs. He was a farmer and a member of the Farm Bureau. He was also a bus driver for Carthage-Troy and Federal Hocking Schools for 32 years.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Christell Gibbs of Ray City, GA and Robert and Doris Gibbs of Reedsville, OH; two daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Robert Moore of Torch, OH and Nancy and Bill Bobo of Coolville, OH; a sister, Lucy Deeter; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Hazel Gibbs; and a brother-in-law, Joe and Geneva Owens.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Freda Owens Gibbs; four infants; a brother, Dale Gibbs; a sister, Mary Becker; a grandson, Robert Moore Jr.; and a great-grandson, Alex Bobo.
Services will be held 1 P.M., Friday, May 11, 2007 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH with Rev. Phil Ridenour officiating. Burial will be in the Stewart Cemetery, Hockingport, OH.
