GLOUSTER – Harriett F. Carsey, 85, of Glouster, died Monday morning, May 22, 2017 at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital. Born May 30, 1931 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late James and Olive Breakey Griffith. She was retired from O’Bleness Memorial Hospital and was a member of the Glouster Baptist Church. She is survived by two stepdaughters, Darla Facemyer of Albany, Linda Carsey of Texas; two grandchildren, Keith (Brenda Tolliver) Carsey of Carbon Hill, Joy (Jason) Vess of Glouster; two step grandsons, Rob and Eric Facemyer; five great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Carsey of Glouster; and a special friend, Peggy Rosett of Minnesota. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walt Carsey; her son, Daniel Carsey; five brothers, James, John, Joe, Jess, and Jerry Griffith; and three sisters, Hilda Borden, Helen Rodgers, and Hazel Druggan. Services will be Thursday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Westenbarger officiating. Burial will be in South Canaan Cemetery.
