Harold “Hank” Holter
SUGAR GROVE—Harold “Hank” Holter, 96, of Sugar Grove, OH, passed away Sunday, Dec. 25, 2023, at his residence.
He was born March 24, 1927, in Minersville, OH, son of the late Hanson R. and Elma Roush Holter.
Hank loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening and especially sitting by the campfire with family and friends. He served in the US Navy during World War II and retired from Kaiser Aluminum in Ravenswood Ohio.
He is survived by former wife Orva Jean and son Mark (Melissa) Holter of Sugar Grove Ohio; 6 grandchildren - Stacy, Stephanie, Kyle, Zachary, Hanson and Natalie; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steven Holter and a daughter, Judy Holter.
Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M., Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023, at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, OH., with Pastor Craig Holler officiating. Burial will follow in the Sandhill Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by the Tuppers Plains VFW Post 9053 and the Middleport American Legion.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
