Harold E. Ford
COOLVILLE-- Harold E. Ford, 81, of Coolville, OH, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Camden-Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV.
He was born April 1, 1937 in Belpre, OH, son of the late Edwin and Helen Swan Ford. Harold ran a bread route and had a bakery in his house. He was an avid truck driver for 25 years and owned Cheetah Transportation in Belpre for 15 years. He also enjoyed tractor pulling, his boat and the Ohio River, where he owned Ford's Landing Campground in Hockingport.
Harold is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janet Bean Ford; a son, Tim (Linda) Ford; 2 daughters, Connie (Brian) Garrett and Becky (John) Peerey; 6 grandchildren, Lindsay (Cody) Endick, Evan Garrett, Austin (Christy) Ford, Adrian Stover, Meghan Ford and Sydney Frazier; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary (John) Coen and a sister-in-law, Joan Ford.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Stover; 3 brothers, Jim Ford, Robert Ford and Carl Ford and a sister, Mildred Leeson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 14, 2018 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, OH, with Pastor Don Cougar officiating.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday, from 11:00 A.M. until time of service.
