Grace E. Holter
Racine – Grace E. Holter, 88, of Racine, died Sunday, October, 16, 2016 at Holzer Meigs Emergency Room in Pomeroy.
Born July 9, 1928 in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William and Susie Hoback Gainer. Grace was a member of the Chester United Methodist Church, and member of the Farm Bureau. She was a 1946 graduate of Racine High School and retired from Public Debt. Grace enjoyed gardening, loved flowers and glassware.
She is survived by two sons, Tom (Billie) Gumpf and Timothy (Cheryl) Gumpf; two granddaughters Mistie Pancake and Joanna (Ernie) Cockrell; two grandsons J.P. Pancake and David (Kristy) Gumpf; two great-grandchildren Emily and Brayden Cockrell; one brother Marcus Gainer and two brother-in laws Charles Bush and Virgil Norris.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Harry Delbert Holter; three sisters, Eleanor Droz, Marie Bush, and Barbara Norris.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Chester United Methodist Church in Chester with Rev. Dr. Walt Goble officiating. Burial will follow in the Meigs County Memory Gardens. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ewing-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Pomeroy as well as one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
