Gordon L. Holter
Gordon L. Holter, 54, of Long Bottom, OH passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007 at his residence.
He was born Aug. 6, 1953 in Athens , OH , son of Mary K. Davis Holter and the late Arvil Holter. Gordon attended Bethel Worship Center in Tuppers Plains and was an avid deer hunter and Dale Jarret fan. He loved helping his wife with Hearts and Hands Clothing Pantry and he farmed from the time he was old enough to drive a tractor. John Deere's were his passion. He also worked at Windstream Communications in Coolville for 24 years.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jill Holter; a son, Gordon "Wesley" Carrie Holter; a daughter, Martie Jeremy Rose; his mother, Mary K. Holter; a sister, Sharon Riffle; 2 brothers-in-law, Lyle Swain and Lee Megan Swain; 6 grandchildren, Baylie, Brayden and Brogan Holter, Lincoln, Kiersten and Kianna Rose; 6 nieces and nephews, Bill Becky Frederick, Joy Dave Hawthorne, Jay Robin Swain, Gary Holter, Greta Chris Davis and Lisa Smith; 4 great-nieces, Stacey Frederick, Kristin Davis, Ashley Davis and Teela Lemley; 4 great-nephews, Tyler Frederick, Keith Frederick, Logan Wolfe and Colten Sprague; a special great-niece, Easter Swain.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arvil Holter; a brother, Gary Robert Holter; a niece, Brenda Holter; his father-in-law, James O. Swain; his mother-in-law, Ileen E. Barnhart Swain; and a sister-in-law, Mary Dillon Swain.
Services will be held 11 A.M, Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH with Pastor Teresa Waldeck and Pastor Rob Barber officiating. Burial will be in the Success Cemetery.
