Glenn Milton Criss

Glenn Milton Criss, 91, of Torch, OH, born December 27, 1933, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025.

He was the son of the late James Garfield and Faye Barrows Criss. Glenn graduated from Coolville High School in 1951. He went to work in April 1952 at Torch Hill on B&O Railroad and retired May 1990 as a Train Dispatcher on CSX Columbus after 38 years of service.

He was the Clerk Treasurer of Midland, OH, for 16 years, salesperson for EJ Plott Real Estate, an Auctioneer with Leaning Pine Auction of West Milton, OH and a member of the Athens County Gideons.

Glenn was a lifetime member of Torch Methodist Church, last member of former Coolville Odd Fellows Lodge, one of the last members of former Coolville Rebekah Lodge and a member of Blanchester Odd Fellows Lodge. He was a 60+ year member of the Masonic Lodge, Blanchester Lodge 191 in Blanchester, OH and Past Master of Coolville Lodge 337 in Coolville, OH and Chapter and Council of Blanchester, York Rites in Cincinnati, Aladdin Shrine of Columbus, OH and Belpre Shrine Club and a member of the Cary Chapter 221 Eastern Star in Blanchester.

He is survived by his granddaughter, Jessica Criss; son, Anthony (Patti) Criss, son, David (Sarah) Criss; daughter, Connie Blair; grandsons, Brian Kratzer, Michael and Thomas Blair, Wayne Criss, Chris Leaper; granddaughters, Barbara Mayo, Jillyn George, Chelcia Criss; 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by all of his grandparents, a brother, 2 sisters; his wife, Clara Jean; son, Gary; daughter-in-law, Rita; granddaughter, Elizabeth and grandson, Joshua.

Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M., Monday, April 7, 2025, at White Funeral Home in Coolville, OH, with Pastor Denzil Null officiating. Burial will follow in the Torch Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday, from 4-7 P.M. Masonic services will be conducted at 7 P.M. by Coolville Masonic Lodge 337.
