Glenn Chesser

NEW MARSHFIELD – Glenn “Dude” Chesser, 81, of New Marshfield, died October 14, 2018 at his home.

Born April 8, 1937 in Nelsonville, he was the son of the late Carroll Chesser and Nelle Bumgarner Chesser.

He attended Union Furnace Schools and graduated in 1955 from Waterloo High School. He retired from General Telephone as a lineman and attended the First United Methodist Church in Nelsonville. He also loved golfing, fishing, hunting and Ohio State football.

He is survived by his companion of 35 plus years, Eileen Saylor and her family; three sisters, Betty Wolfe of Lancaster, Donna Cunningham of Spartanburg, SC, Marna Burwell of Centerburg; two sisters-in-law, Charlotte and Martha Chesser; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Lloyd, Larry, and Millard Chesser.
