GUYSVILLE- Gladys E. Schall, 76, of Guysville, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. She was born on February 25, 1948, in The Plains, Ohio, the daughter of the late Dick and Edith Finnearty Moore.

Gladys was a 1965 graduate of Shade High School. She had a passion for crafting, particularly making blankets, as well as gardening, working outdoors, baking, and decorating cakes.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Roger A. Schall; four children, Joe (Misty Young) Ritchie, April Ritchie, Richard (Kim) Ritchie, and Tuesday (Tina) Schall; three sisters, Patty (Sam) Thompson, Dixie (Gordon) Neal, and Susie Moore; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and special friends, Sallie Cheatum, Irene Gibson, and Becki Johnston Haywood.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Cathy Sloane; one grandson, Kyle Sadlowski; and one nephew, Cody Neal.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hughes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 21, at 6:00 P.M. at Hughes Funeral Home in Athens with Debbie Brookins officiating, with visitation from 4:00 P.M. until the time of service.
