Geraldine “Jerri” Rosson

     Athens - Geraldine “Jerri” Rosson, 70, of Athens, died Monday, November 27, 2023, at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens.

     Born March 18, 1953, in Athens, Ohio, she was the daughter of Betty Cochran Hixson and the late Lewis Hixson. Jerri was creative and had many talents. She had a deep love for her family and her Lord Jesus Christ. She also loved Christmas, giving to others, Florida sunsets, hot fudge milkshakes, and enjoying the view of the rolling hills of Athens from her back porch.  

     Besides her mother, Jerri is survived by her husband of 49 years, Dennis Rosson; four children, Rabecca (Julien) Plenchette, Leighanna (Ryan) Rockey, Nathan (Jessica) Rosson and Rachel Rosson; nine grandchildren; four brothers, Don Hixson, Jim Hixson, Matthew Hixson and Joe Hixson and one sister Linda Clark.

     Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her brother Craig Hixson and her sister Phyllis Hixson.

     Per Jerri’s wishes, private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
