Frederick Kessinger

REEDSVILLE - Frederick James Kessinger passed away at Arcadia Valley Skilled Nursing Facility on January 25, 2025. 

Fred was born in Princeton, West Virginia on September 16, 1942, to the late Jim and Dorothy Kessinger.

Fred is survived by Dana Kessinger; daughter Erica (Mark) Jenkins; sister, Ellen (Barry) Venable; brother-in-law, Malcolm M. Day; step-grandchildren Roy and Will Jenkins; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews; and Charles Callaway, a great friend to the Kessinger family. 

Fred was a dedicated teacher. He spent most of his career in the Eastern School District, where he taught at Riverview Elementary School. He was a graduate of Rio Grande University. Fred enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family pets. 

Fred had been a member of The Trinity Church of Pomeroy.

Due to Fred's wishes, there will be no service or memorial. If you wish to honor his memory, he would want donations made to the Meigs County Human Society.
