Frederick Clifford Houghton

 MASON—Frederick Clifford Houghton, 84, of Mason, WV, passed away Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024, at Rivers Health Hospital in Pt. Pleasant, WV.

 He was born March 8, 1940, in Sanford, FL, son of the late Garland and Meredith Hickman Houghton.

 He is survived by his wife of 47, years, Cynthia Lance Houghton; 2 sons, Frederick C. Houghton II and James Vereen; 2 daughters, Catherine (Brian) Williams and Erica (John) Skipper; 10 grandchildren, Kayla, Jessica, Megan, Tyson, Andrew, Brooke, Madelyn, Ava, Bryson and Morgan; 6 great-grandchildren, Aly, Aiden, Izymiel, Kasen, Kristian and Kashton; 3 sisters-in-law, Barbara (Tom) Summerfield, Ruth Ann Lance and Bertie Lance and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Fai’dra; sister, Barbara and 2 brothers, Gary and Johnny.

 At Frederick’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.

 Arrangements have been entrusted to White Funeral Home in Coolville, OH.
