LITTLE HOCKING--Frances Eleanor Epling, 98, of Little Hocking, Ohio passed away at Harmer Place, Marietta, Ohio on Nov. 6, 2017.

She was born in Boswell, Indiana on Feb. 16, 1919 and was the daughter of Oscar and Stella McDaniel of Little Hocking, Ohio

Frances was a graduate of Troy High School in Coolville, Ohio. She was a homemaker and enjoyed being outdoors and going to garage sales. She loved fishing and picnicing with family and friends when she was well. She leaves behind her loving cat (Froggy).

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Dean Epling in 1994; a daughter, Sharon in 2001 and two sisters, Bethel O'Neill and Arrena Coulson of Little Hocking, Ohio.

Frances is survived by three nieces and nephew, Wanda (Asa) Boring and Janice Fisher both of Little Hocking, Ohio; Ruth Sims of Baltimore, Ohio a nephew, Lee (Kathy) Coulson of Parkersburg, WV and many great neices and nephews.

The family would like to thank all of her home health aides and nurses who provided help for her.

Services will be held at 4 P.M., Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, Ohio. Burial will follow in the Coolville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 2:30 P.M. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Little Hocking Vol. Fire Dept.
