Forrest Ward
Forrest A. Ward, 95, of Tuppers Plains went home to his Lord June 30th at 6:09 a.m. at his home after an extended illness.
He was born July 19, 1911 in Wadesville, WV, the son of the late Adam and Hattie Wigal Ward. He was a 1930 graduate of Parkersburg High School, a 1935 graduate of WVU and earned his Masters Degree at Marshall University and Ohio University.
He coached and taught school in WV for seven years. During WWII, he worked at the TNT Plant at Pt. Pleasant. After the war he taught school in Ohio for 27 years. He was also a member of the Hickory Hills Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Eula Cooper Ward; a daughter, Barbara Rice; a great-granddaughter, Hattie Rice; sisters, Clara Wise Hill, Glenna Wolfe, Irene Hess, Edna Pattison; and a brother, Robert Ward.
He is survived by a daughter, Elila Adams; five grandchildren, Keith Adams Sheryle, David Adams Kim, Forrest Rice Cindy, Claire Rice Angie, Bryon Rice Sue; and 7 great-grandchidren.
Services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Hickory Hills Church of Christ, Tuppers Plains, OH with Michael Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Success Cemetery.
Friends may call at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, on Monday, from 5-8 p.m.
