Chesterfield, VA- Faith Elaine (Deeter) Willoughby, 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, in Chesterfield, VA.
She was born March 16, 1951, in Athens, Ohio, daughter of the late Roy Edwin Deeter and Lucy Helen Gibbs Deeter.
Faith was a Public School Teacher for five years and Pre-School Director for 28 years. She retired in 1996 after establishing the Pre-school at Sweetser Wesleyan Church in 1996. On top of all this, she served in many capacities in ministry alongside her husband. She was involved in General and District positions of the Wesleyan Church such as Wesleyan Women district secretary, district director and numerous committees. Her desire was to honor God in all she did, to love sincerely, and point people to Christ by example and sharing with them the wonderful gift of salvation.
Faith is survived by her two daughters, Diana Hope Ervin (Larry) and Charity Lynn Herring (Allen); four grandchildren, Kaleb Joshua Ervin and Divinity Hope Ervin, Zachary Lee Herring and Ezekiel Allen Herring; Sister- Martha Sue Matheny (Herb); and two nieces, four great nieces, one nephew, and two great nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Lee Willoughby and sister, Carolyn Elizabeth Bowser.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 28, 2024, from 12-2 pm at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, Ohio followed by the funeral at 2 pm officiated by Rev. Joe Kelly. Burial will follow in the Weatherby Cemetery.
