Syracuse - Erza Phillips, 81, of Syracuse, died Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Overbrook Rehab Center in Middleport.
Born June 29, 1935 in Harts, WV, he was the son of the late James and Martha Hall Phillips. Ezra was a member of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church and retired from Mid West Steel.
He is survived by his wife, Evamae Cook Phillips; two sisters, Helen Turnbull of Mason, WV and Lucille Taylor of Rutland; one brother, Matthew Phillips of Hamden, WV;
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, November 14, 2016 at Meigs County Memory Gardens with Elder Charles O. Adkins officiating. Visitation will take place at from noon until the time of service at Meigs County Memory Gardens. Friends are invited to sign the online guestbook at ewingfuneralhome.net. Funeral arrangements are by the Ewing-Schwarzel Funeral Home In Pomeroy.
