Everett Jarvis
Everett Jarvis, 87, of Guysville, OH passed away Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017 at Marietta Memorial Belpre Campus in Belpre, OH
He was born Nov. 1, 1929 in Duck Creek, WV son of the late James Ward and Susie Ellen Fulks Jarvis. He was employed by Kaiser Aluminum in Belpre for 30 years and attended the Faith Bible Church in Guysville. He was a lifelong farmer who enjoyed playing gospel and bluegrass music. He was also a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Lou Jones Jarvis; two sons, Calvin and Sonia Jarvis and Charles and Becky Jarvis; 10 grandchildren, Jessica Jarvis, Lydia (Tony) Widder, Bethany (Billy) Keown, Amanda (Mitch) Cyphers, Susie Nutter, Sarah Nutter, Joshua (Macall) Jarvis, Timothy (Erin) Jarvis, Benjamin (Lisa) Jarvis and Jennifer Jarvis; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harlan (Victoria) Jarvis and Glenn (Wanda) Jarvis and a son-in-law, Jeff Nutter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlene Nutter; a grandson, Matthew Dale Jarvis; two sisters, Esta Cooper and Carol Cassudakis.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M, Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, OH with Calvin and Charles Jarvis officiating. Burial will follow in the Carthage Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home, Wednesday from 5-8 P.M.
