Elton John Horner, Jr.

 GUYSVILLE—Elton John Horner, Jr., 53, of Guysville, OH, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH.

 He was born Sept. 7, 1970, in Riverside, NJ, son of Bonnie June Hall Horner and the late Elton John Horner, Sr. 

 Elton was an avid outdoorsman and boat racer. He was also a Carpenter and a Class A Mechanic.

 In addition to his mother, Bonnie Horner, Elton is survived by 2 daughters, Jessica and Scott Blanton and Kirsten Heaton; 3 sons, Robert and Melissa McCloskey, Elton John Horner III and Hannah Orfe and Dale Horner; 8 grandchildren, Grant, Jayden, Porter, Benjamin, Raelyn, Waverly, Finnigan and Callum; sister, Jacki and Don Comfort; 2 nieces, Bonnie and Nicole and a nephew, Jeffery.

 He was preceded in death by his father, Elton John Horner, Sr.

 A memorial service will be held at 7 P.M., Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Hughes Funeral Home in Athens, OH.

 The family will be accepting friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, from 6-7 P.M.
