Ellen Marie Curd

Pomeroy - Ellen “Marie” Curd, 97, of Pomeroy died Monday, July 9, 2018 at Darst’s Private Care Home in Pomeroy.
Born July 12, 1920 in Columbus, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late James and Dora Thoma Dorahs. Marie was a member of the Middleport Church of Christ and a lifetime member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by a son, John (Denise) Curd; a daughter, Judith Elkins; three grandchildren, Stephen (Diana) Elkins, John Curd Jr., and Jennifer (Derek) Rose; three great grandsons, Ryan and Matthew Elkins and Matthew Curd and one great great grandson Oliver Elkins.
Besides her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Hartwell Curd in 1996 and a son-in-law Cornell Elkins.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 12, 2018 at noon at the Middleport Church of Christ in Middleport, Ohio with Stephen Elkins officiating. Burial will be in the Gravel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
