Edwin Eddie Sweeney Jr.
Edwin Eddie Sweeney Jr., 72, of Stewart, OH went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 22, 2007 at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital.
Born May 30, 1935 in New Marshfield, he was the son of the late Edwin and Doris Sweeney. He was an Army Veteran and was stationed at Fort Bliss in Texas. He retired after 35 years from law library services. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cynthia Kitty Sweeney; two sons, Edwin Sweeney III Teresa Signore of Columbus and Craig Lisa Sweeney of Guysville; three grandchildren, Bridget Jamie Washburn of Amesville, and Sean and Jennifer Sweeney of Guysville; three great-grandchildren, Harlee, Chelsea and Austin Washburn of Amesville; a step-grandson, Shaunn Barron; a brother-in-law, Ken Green of Athens; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends who stood by his side during this difficult time.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Jennie Brandeberry; several aunts and uncles; three sisters-in-law; and five brothers-in-law.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at 2 P.M., at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville. Burial will be in the Coolville Cemetery.
