Edwin E Fields

ATHENS—Edwin E. Fields, 92, of Athens, formerly of Channahon, Illinois, died peacefully at his home on Sunday morning, October 22, 2017. Born November 27, 1924, he was the son of the late R.S. and Ivy Fisher Fields.

Edwin worked as a millwright at Wyman-Gordon in Harvey, Illinois, where he retired after 43 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed camping, woodworking, reading, and in his younger years was a square dance caller. He was known and loved by all, especially for his loving smile.

Edwin is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rose, two daughters, Rose (Neil) Tuttle, Joanne (Michael) Daley, three grandchildren, Jennifer (Sean) Parsons, Nathan V. Tuttle, and Laura T. Martin, and two great-grandchildren, Coltrane and Emily Parsons.

Besides his parents, his brother, Robert S. Fields, precedes him in death.
