Dow Lorenzo James Peters, 61, of Athens, OH, died March 6, 2013 at Kobacker House, Columbus, OH. Born June 30, 1951, to the late William Chaunsey and Jean Carol Peters. He is survived by his life partner, Arlene Koenig, sons Dow and Aaron, step-daughter Carrie Justin McCormack and daughter Violet, granddaughter Adriana and grandson, Gage. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Maxine Still and Lucy Mary Peters.
He is also survived by his brother Bill Bernice Peters, sisters Izora Charles Armstrong, Jo Peters and Anita Butcher. Countless nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances will mourn his loss deeply.
Dow was a veteran who served in the Navy during the War in Vietnam. Service will be held Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 3:30 P.M. at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville. Viewing will be the hour before service commences. Internment Coolville Cemetery.
