Dennis Lee “Denny” Dowler, Jr.

ATHENS – Dennis Lee “Denny” Dowler, Jr., 59, of Athens, passed away Monday, June 7, 2021 at his home.

Born February 21, 1962 in Athens, he was the son of the late Dennis Lee and Dian Dean Dowler, Sr.

He was a loving husband to Liz Dowler  for 40 years and loving father  to four children, Jesse (Amber) Dowler, Tessa (Adam) King  Tyler (Jillian  Hopkins) Dowler, Casey(Natalie Hopkins) Dowler; eight grandchildren, Will, Kiera, Carson, Kyler, Auna, Lilah, Lexi, Ally; two sisters ,Dee Staten and her two sons, Steven and Howard, Danita (Davey)  Sharpe and her three children,  Kirsten, Kaylin, David, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Denzyl and Ann Buck, and two brothers-in-law, Steve and Jim Buck.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 3PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Monte McCune officiating. You may call upon the family one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
