David Spurlock

David Spurlock, 64, of Coolville, OH passed away Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH.

He was born Dec. 28, 1952 in Milton, WV son of the late Voyd and Inez Harper Spurlock. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and loved deer hunting, gardening, family gatherings, visiting with all his friends, being the local mechanic and most of all his little pal, Rocky.

David is survived by his wife of 33 years, Debbie Richardson Spurlock; a daughter, Chastidy and B.J. Murphy; a son, Dustin Milhone; 2 grandchildren, Nathan Murphy and Shawna (Jack Lemley) Murphy; 5 sisters, Barbara Bissell, Kay Lanham, Kathy (John) Walker, Carol (Fred) Dodge and Pam (Mark) Boyd; 4 brothers, Danny Spurlock, Voyd Spurlock, Don (Kathrina) Spurlock and Rodney (Debbie) Spurlock; his mother-in-law, Evelyn Barringer; a brother-in-law, Robert Richardson; a sister-in-law, Debbie Spurlock and a special friend, Howard Lockhart.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Ronnie Spurlock, C.L. Spurlock and Gary Spurlock and his father-in-law, Gerald Barringer.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, OH with Pastor Larry Lemley officiating. Military services will be conducted at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Heiney Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
