COOLVILLE—David Roscoe Wells, 74, of Coolville, OH, passed away Friday, Jan. 31, 2025, at Ohio State University Hospital.
He was born Sept. 11, 1950, in Parkersburg, WV, son of the late Chester and Dorothy Cole Wells. He was an Honorary Member of the Carpenter’s Local Union 650 in Pomeroy for over 50 years, the Sexton for Sandhill Cemetery and a self-made carpenter. Ross loved his grandchildren and going fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Juanita Barber Wells; 2 sons, Jason Wells and Bill and Seva Wells; daughter, Amanda and Nick Burke; step-son, Harry and Heather Whytsell; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, James Wells; 5 sisters, Connie Semelsberger, Sara Wells, JoEllen Corrigan, Doris Henry and Barbara Peck and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jack Wells and Ralph Wells and 3 sisters, Francis Thomas, Donna Jean Taylor and Leslie McClanahan.
At the request of Ross, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to White Funeral Home in Coolville, OH.
