Clifford "Jake" Snyder, 86, of Hockingport, OH passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at his residence.
He was born Feb. 2, 1922 in Hockingport, OH son of the late Lon and Rose Blake Snyder. He was a member of Vanderhoof Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Belle Snyder; a daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Paul Holsinger; 2 grandchildren, Paula Holsinger and Tim Teresa Holsinger; a great-grandson, Zach Holsinger; 2 sisters, Wilma Baker and Mary Alice Samblanet.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Snyder; and 4 sisters, Freda Yeater, Bertha Gregory, Edna Snyder and Thelma Swears.
Services will be held 9 A.M., Saturday, June 7, 2008 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH with Rev. Craig Holler officiating. Burial will be in the Stewart Cemetery, Hockingport, OH.
