Clayton Kimes
Clayton Harry Kimes, 77, of Reedsville, OH went to heaven peacefully Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008 at his home surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born May 4, 1931 to Harry and Retha Buchanan Kimes at Reedsville, OH.
He was an Air Force veteran and retired from Gavin. His hobbies included fishing, woodworking and rebuilding old tractors.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Maralene Hoselton Kimes; 2 daughters, Chryll and Jim Koster of Springfield, OH and Marsha and Kevin Cowdery; 2 sons, Jeff and Diana Dee Kimes and Scott and Rae Lynn Kimes all of Reedsville, OH; 9 grandchildren, Kristen, Justin Heather and Jessica Koster of Springfield, Alan Barringer, Jeffrey, Stacey, Eric and Kelsey Kimes and Bradley Kimes all of Reedsville, OH; a sister, Mildred Baker of Chester, OH; a brother, Carroll Lucille Kimes of Long Bottom, OH; a great friend and neighbor, Delbert Powell and many more friends, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Kimes; and a sister, Milford Reynolds.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Kimes, Scott Kimes, Jeffrey Kimes, Eric Kimes, Justin Koster and Alan Barringer. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Koster and Kevin Cowdery.
Services will be held 11 A.M., Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008 at Eden United Brethren Church, Reedsville, OH with Pastors Eric Ross and Adam Will officiating.
Burial will be in the Randolph Cemetery.
