Claudia R. Young, 83, of Stewart, OH formerly of #1 Kanawha Terr., St. Albans, WV went home to be with her Lord on June 1, 2010 at Hickory Creek Nursing Center, The Plains, OH.
She was born March 10, 1927 in Salisbury, NC, daughter of the late Claude and Eula Latham McLemore. She was a member of Maranatha Fellowship , St. Albans, WV.
She is survived by 2 sons, Bernie Young Jr. Carol of Hurricane, WV and John Young Phyllis of Stewart, OH; 3 daughters, Gail Young Swanson Don of Hurricane, WV, Sandy Young Williams Dave of Athens, OH and Pamela Young Childers of Teays Valley, WV; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Betty Lou, Shirley, Velma and Ollie Mae; a special sister-in-law, Eva Mae.
Claudia had a best friend, Barbara Edwards, of St. Albans, WV who devoted special care for Mom during this time.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Dwight R. Young; a sister, Carrie Nun; and 3 brothers, Ernest McLemore, Buck McLemore and Robert McLemore.
Services will be held 1 P.M., Saturday, June 5, 2010 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH with Pastor Monte McCune officiating. Burial will be in the Wyers Cemetery, Guysville, OH.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday, from 6-8 P.M.
