Clarence Edward Jordan

Clarence Edward "Eddie" Jordan, 74 of Athens, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at home after an extended illness. Born February 8, 1950 in Athens, he was the son of the late Clarence and Bonnie Spires Jordan.

He served in the United States Navy from 1969-1971 and later would retire from Ohio University from the carpet and tile shop in 2000. He was an avid hunter and fisherman back in the day. He enjoyed logging, woodworking, and playing corn hole.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby; son, Michael Jordan of Chesapeake, VA; daughter, Tracie (Dana) Hines of Guysville; three grandchildren, Cameron Jordan, Ryan Jordan, Emma Hines; sister, Carol Schoonover of Greenfield, IN; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Mark Jordan and niece, Mindy Jordan.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hughes Funeral Home where private family graveside services will be observed at Hilltop Cemetery with Pastor Ron Fierce officiating. The family wishes to express a special thank-you to Heartland Hospice for their care and to Melissa Gibbs for all her help.
