Athens– Christine Brannon,76, of Athens, passed away at her home after a long illness. She was born January 8, 1949, in Cleveland,Ohio, to the late Gerald Bowers and Gladys Thompson Bowers.

Her profound love for nature extended to the plants and animals on the 80-acre farm that she and her husband tended there for many years. Gardening and spending time outdoors were among her greatest passions, and her garden yielded an abundance of vegetables to be shared with her family, friends and neighbors.
