Charles Thomas Taylor
Charles Thomas Tylor, 91, of Coolville and Little Hocking, entered the presence of the Lord under the care of his loving wife, Susie and Amedisys Hospice.
He was born Dec. 14, 1932, in Athens, OH, son of the late Herman and Alura Conant Taylor. Tom was a U.S. Army Veteran and after his separation he served in the Army Reserves. Tom was a 1960 graduate of Troy High School, a Boiler Maker out of Winfield, WV, a member of the Torch Baptist Church, past President of the Troy TWP Senior Citizens, a master gardener, accomplished woodworker and loved to fish.
Tom is survived by his wife, Susan Stewart Taylor; son, Brian Taylor; step- children, Melissa and Mike Wise and Patrick and Dr. Megan Starling, MD; brother-in-law, Mark and Vicki Stewart; sister-in-law, Kathy and Dr. John Beane MD; step grandchildren, Ian, Ben, Rachel, Tim, Eleanor, Charles and Leo; cousins, John Taylor, Chuck Taylor and Doris Dellenger; his last Army friend, Doyle Green of Pensacola, FL; special friend, George Waderker; several nieces and nephews and his cat, Princess and dogs, Brady, Pixie and Lexi.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Donna Taylor and Carolyn Taylor.
Services will be held at 6 P.M., Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024, at the Torch Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Dickey and Pastor Craig Holler officiating. Burial will be in the Torch Cemetery. Military services will be conducted at 4 P.M. prior to the visitation. A meal and fellowship will be held at the church following the funeral service.
Visitation will be held at the church, Wednesday, from 4-6 P.M.
Arrangements have been entrusted to White Funeral Home in Coolville, OH.
