Charles Edward Price

Charles Edward "Ed" Price, 79 of Millfield, went to be with the Lord Friday, November 8, 2024 at OhioHealth O'Bleness Hospital in Athens. Born October 8, 1945 in Columbus, he was the son of the late Arlie and Margaret C. Amos Price.

Ed was a respected mechanic and hydraulic specialist who was recruited by Columbus Southern Ohio Electric when a junior in high school, where he would later retire from after many years of dedicated service. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, trap shooting, bowling, and golf. Ed always excelled at anything he would do and recognized when a task was too much for him - which he would then just refused to do! He and his beloved wife, Peggy, fostered and raised many children.

Ed is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Peggy Price, nee Mayles; children, Paulette (Butch) Alexander, Michelle (Ralph) Bowers; Tina Lenigar, Kelly Long, Tiffany Grant, Mike (Katie) Biggins, Chris (Shianna Bowen) Tomsha, Kevin (Hayley) Price, Jason Price, Brian Price, Johnny Price; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Don (Lynn) Price; two special friends, Debbie Geer, Jennifer Reynolds; and his beloved dog, Duke.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Baby Girl Biggins; sister, Debbie Price; and son-in-law & friend, Bob Lenigar.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hughes Funeral Home where a funeral service will be Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 11AM with Larry Swart officiating. Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery.
