Charles Nichols
Charles Nichols, 78, of Vincent, OH went to be with his Lord Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014.
He was born July 19, 1936 in Gay, WV son of the late John and Dicie Burdette Nichols. He graduated from Vincent Ohio High School in 1955. He was a member of the USAF serving in Idaho and retired from Walker Systems in 1991 after 27 years of service. He was also a member of Grace Brethren Church in Coolville, OH.
Charles is survived by his wife, Lila Gates Nichols, whom he married in 1956; brothers, Larry, Oval and Delbert; sisters, Juanita McCutcheon, Orpha Cox, Faye Griffin and Charlotte Gray; special niece, Diana Donohoe of Columbus, OH and several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Hazel Burgy.
Charles was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved working with wood crafts. He loved his Lord Jesus with all his heart and also his Kentucky Wildcats. His special buddy, Chico will miss him greatly.
Services will be held at 11 A.M., Friday, Nov. 7, 2014 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH with Pastor George Horner officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Belpre, OH where military graveside services will be conducted by the Parkersburg American Legion Post #15.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, from 6-8 P.M.
